Speaker Bio: Bridget Sherman
Mrs. Sherman is a graduate of Youngstown State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with minor studies in Music and Biology. She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, part of the City Universities of New York. Mrs. Sherman began her career in social services in 2000, at Ashtabula County Children Services where she worked as both an intake and ongoing case worker, as well as placement liaison, working with providers and children in residential treatment, therapeutic foster care, and group home settings. In January of 2015, Mrs. Sherman began working at the Ashtabula County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board, where she currently serves as the Director of Youth and Recovery Services.

The presentation will provide participants with the information about the Ohio Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative, the benefits to employers and employees, and how to apply for the designation. Participants will learn what the Recovery Friendly Workplace designation is, how to assess their own workplace readiness for the designation based on the 9 criteria, and how to apply for the designation.
